Customer Service vs Consumer Responsibility

Let me start by saying that I really and truly enjoy customer service.  I have a tendency to go above and beyond what is necessary to make sure my customers are extremely satisfied with their shopping experience on Blackberry Theme Park but at some point I need to establoish the need for consumer responsibility.  I have now had several situations already today where I have been asked to "swap" one theme for another, and the simple fact is that by doing this I am really giving a free theme away.  I want to compare purchasing a theme to purchasing software at Best Buy.  If you go to Best Buy and buy the newest expansion pack for World of Warcraft you can’t take it home, try it out, throw it back in the box, take it to the store, and tell the clerk that you thought it was going to be better so could you have Ages of Empires instead.  They won’t let you, they aren’t allowed to by law because it’s digital media and you could have copied it and have your new copy at home.  Purchasing a theme is very much the same thing, if you buy a theme you can not give it back to me.  It’s just not possible.  So now it’s up to me to decide what is reasonable in the name of customer service,  So I am asking you to please choose carefully when you are choosing a theme because I will be more than happy to fix any errors that you might find within the theme so that you do in fact get what you pay for, but I will not be able to send you an entirely different theme.

All of that being said, this is the exact kind of situation that caused me to offer a subscription service, so that my customers can enjoy all of my themes without needing to purchase them individually.  If you enjoy trying new themes all the time you might give serious thought to becoming a Premium Member.
