BlackBerry's OS 5.0 has added some new functionality to the phones that support it, such as screen transitions, custom ring tones, and more.  This updated version of Liquid Chrome has utilized some screen transitions to make the user experience that much better.  Screen transitions don't have a specific functionality, yet I think you'll find them quite hypnotic.
