Kindle BlackBerry App is OK

I am not even going to beat around the bush here, when I downloaded the newly released Kindle application to my BlackBerry 9700 I thought it sucked.  After a bit I decided to download it on my Storm to see if it was any better.  In my opinion the Storm version of the Kindle app is way more user friendly and visually appetizing(for reading).  As you can see in the top 2 pictures the Storm(Top Right) offers more text and a more book like page view than the Bold 9700 (Top Left).  Probably the most irritating feature of the qwerty version is that scrolling down will continually change the page giving it the feel that there are no pages but rather feels like reading a long email.  The storm version changes page by either swiping your finger side to side or by tapping the left or right side of the screen.  It appears that both Qwerty and Touch options offer the shortcuts shown above (Mid Left) although on the Storm this requires bringing up the keyboard.

I did find that all the Amazon Whispernet provided a very quick recognition between multiple devices of having read further in my book.  I read a page on my Storm then set it down and activated my Kindle which immediately prompted a message asking if I’d like to move to the furthest page read(Even referencing the device I had been reading on)

All in all the app is not amazing but it gets the job done, it is my feeling that Touch Screen users will be much happier with the app than Qwerty users please feel free to leave your comments and let me know how you feel about the app.
