So Today we will be going over the Otter box Defender series Case for the Bold 9650. This case is composed of Three Layers of protections. Now before I start the review I will say that this case is not for those who are looking to retain sleek and slim qualities of a phone as the case adds some bulkiness, but if you are looking for the ultimate in defense and protection then you’re reading the right review. Now, on to the 3 layers of protection… First you have a plastic cover over the complete keyboard minus the track pad of course which keeps out any dirt, moisture and other foreign materials of the like.. Second, you have a very, VERY hard plastic shell which is very sturdy and robust which also has a built in screen protector, this part encloses the phone and snaps firmly into place. The Third and final layer is a thick rubber enclosure which encases the hard plastic shell. With the description of those four layers you can see why I call the otter box defender the “Armored Humvee of cases for your device” there is also a sturdy holster included which is just as touch as the case itself. Now I will testify that yes I’ve dropped my bold 9650 in this case, both by mistake and purposely for this review, I did a test of two five foot drops face down on pavement, no damage to phone AT ALL nor case, simply wipe off case and continue on with receiving and sending emails, surfing web etc… When the phone was dropped by true mishap I was assured my phone would be fine B-)
