Thumbplay Music Review and Video
BlackBerry applications that stream music aren’t exactly news so I won’t spend a lot of time talking about streaming in regards to the thumb play music application for BlackBerry. What struck me right off about this application was the user interface. It seems to me that attractiveness of an application seems to be one of the most often used criticisms when comparing the applications available for iPhone and BlackBerry. It is often mentioned that the development environment for Blackberry is at fault for this and as far as I’m concerned Thumbplay should put that conversation to bed. This application is absolutely stunning visually, the graphics are crisp and the color tones have been executed perfectly in regards to clarity.
I really hope that Thumbplay has set the bar for what we should see from forthcoming applications developed for Blackberry. To be honest I’d love to see the application crutch be stripped away from the iPhone crowd because it seems to be all they have to cling to. Without that crutch it’s my feeling that some of the iPhone’s weak points would be glaringly obvious.
